About The Forum
Arizona's community of African Americans face significant challenges in accessing quality mental health care. The disparities have long been acknowledged by state and county organizations.
Despite a significant investment in resources toward these disparities, our utilization of services remains lower than most other minority groups.
This community forum will present population specific data and give providers and community members the first opportunity to respond. There will be a facilitated discussion about barriers in access to care, collaborative work groups to generate community driven solutions, and opportunities for critical community leaders, providers and agencies to build productive relationships and alliances to meet our diverse needs.
